Coot and Narlow ignored the embargo, flying munitions deep into Chihuahua in a Curtiss Pusher biwing. Would they be caught by US border guards and be the government's guest at Leavenworth, or shot while fleeing from an arranged Federale escape?

About the Author
Nelson Martin is a native of southern New Mexico, west Texas, and the northern Chihuahua region. He tramped, fished, and hunted their deserts, eager to share their dust and pungent aroma after a drought, recalls steam locomotives with eight-foot driver-wheels racing south out of Las Cruces toward El Paso, and witnessed a jaguar coming out of Chihuahua on the rail line along the border to Columbus just past the West Portrillo Mountains, isolated to this day.

A real cool historical fiction

I felt like I was there in the heat of the moment. Great characters: Narlow and Coot are believable tough, American heroes. Quite an intriguing ending. Go for it, buy it now!

ring around the sun

Want to read a "not so old" western epic? This is it!
The story takes you through the southwestern USA and northern Mexico during the times of the Mexican revolution. The two main characters are a special breed of brothers from different mothers. These two "brothers" go through so many adventures in a time not so long ago but so far away compared to this ever smaller growing world. Nelson Martin writes as if he had been there and lived the life of the story. The book was an entertaining read, I felt as if I was watching a movie rather than reading a novel.

Nelson Martin has written an epic Western.
The two main characters, Coot and Narlow come to life on the pages. They were genuine characters from the West Texas border with Mexico. To help a friend, they became gun runners for Pancho Villa during the Mexican Revolution. The struggles and dangers they encounterd attested to their character. They were from the same mold and lived life to the fullest. You can't go wrong buying this book.
